The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Women’s Health, Dr. Adanna Steinacker, has launched a groundbreaking project aimed at transforming women’s health across Nigeria — the RenewHER Initiative, under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The initiative, unveiled September 11, 2025, at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja, seeks to fight misinformation, promote health literacy, and reach over 100 million Nigerians through an AI-driven communications hub.

RenewHER will focus on key areas including:

  • Maternal and Child Health
  • Neonatal Care
  • Sexual and Reproductive Health
  • Adolescent Health and Menstrual Equity
  • Healthcare Workforce and Access
  • Community Coalition Building

The launch was attended by top dignitaries including Vice President Kashim Shettima Mustapha, GCON, the Chief of Staff to the President Olufemi Hakeem Gbajabiamila, the Minister of Women Affairs Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, and the First Lady of Kwara State Olufolake Abdulrazaq, among others.

With strong support from the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Nigeria Governors’ Spouses Forum (NGSF), Federal Ministry of Health, and the Women in Healthcare Network, the RenewHER Initiative is poised to strengthen Nigeria’s healthcare landscape and empower millions of women nationwide.
