Presidency Dismisses Special Assistant on Digital & Creative Econom

President Bola Tinubu has officially relieved Fegho John Umunubo, who served as Special Assistant on Digital and Creative Economy in the Office of the Vice President, of his duties, effective immediately.

The announcement came via a statement from Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information and Public Relations at the State House. The statement emphasized that Mr. Umunubo no longer acts in any official capacity for the administration, warning stakeholders and the public against engaging him in the name of the Presidency:

“Anyone who interfaces with him in the name of the administration does so at his or her own risk.”

The directive urges individuals and organizations, both within and outside Nigeria’s digital and creative sectors, to immediately cease any engagement with Mr. Umunubo as a representative of this government.

This swift move appears to mark a clean break from the former aide, underlining the Presidency’s firm stance on clear representation and accountability in the digital and creative economy space.
